Project Description

Leash AI is a protection layer between autonomous AI agents and user finances on EVM-compatible chains. AI agents never access private keys — instead, they interact through an Account Abstraction wallet governed by configurable on-chain policy rules and allow lists, following a zero-trust security model.

The platform provides a set of skills and MCP tools for seamless blockchain interaction, enabling safe usage with the most popular AI agents including Claude, Cursor, ChatGPT, Codex, and OpenClaw. Local wallet generation is handled via Open Wallet Standard, ensuring keys remain isolated from the agent runtime.

Users manage everything through a friendly UI — configure policies, set up allow lists, review changelog, and approve or reject agent-requested policy changes. Integration with WalletConnect brings support for the most popular wallets. A custom ENS resolver implements policy batching for efficient on-chain rule management. World ID integration allows AI agents to understand usernames and verify addresses and users. Fully EVM-compatible.

How it's Made

The core smart contract follows the EIP-7579 standard for modular smart account interfaces, enabling interoperable Account Abstraction with minimal restrictions for accounts and modules. Policy signing uses EIP-712 typed structured data hashing for secure, human-readable transaction approvals.

Agent-side key management is handled via Open Wallet Standard — private keys are generated and stored locally, never exposed to the AI agent runtime. A custom MCP server provides a set of skills and hooks for on-chain operations: transfers, balance fetching, swaps, lending, borrowing, supplying, and limit orders — all executed through the policy-governed smart account.

A custom ENS resolver implements batch presets of policy rules, allowing users to apply entire rulesets in a single transaction. On-chain data indexing is powered by a Subgraph, feeding transaction history and analytics to the frontend.

World MiniKit v2 handles identity verification — World ID 4.0 is used as a real constraint for eligibility, uniqueness, fairness, reputation, and rate limits. Proof validation occurs in the backend and smart contract layer, enabling AI agents to understand usernames and verify addresses.

The frontend is built with Next.js, using wagmi and RainbowKit for wallet management, deployed on Vercel. WalletConnect integration supports popular wallets out of the box.

An installer wizard provides seamless one-command setup for the most popular AI agents — Cursor, OpenClaw, Claude, and Codex — configuring skills, MCP tools, and local wallet generation automatically.
