Meshed turns static VC portfolios into intelligent trust networks that drive better outcomes.
Meshed is a network intelligence and trust layer for venture capital ecosystems, designed to unlock the full value of relationships across portfolio companies, investors, and operators.
This project was born from real-world experience leading three startup teams that raised venture capital. Despite being part of well-connected VC networks, we repeatedly encountered the same problem: access to those networks was fragmented, slow, and often inaccessible at the exact moment it was needed most. Meshed transforms venture capital ecosystems from: static lists of portfolio companies into dynamic, intelligent, and trust-enabled networks by combining: -AI-driven network intelligence -human verification -and blockchain-based attestations
Meshed enables faster collaboration, better capital efficiency, and stronger outcomes across the entire ecosystem.
Founders, engineers, and operators exist within highly valuable ecosystems, yet: connections are hidden in inboxes, spreadsheets, or informal introductions key stakeholders are time-constrained outreach is noisy, unverified, and inefficient and critically, when startups fail or run out of funding, talented teams are often lost from the network entirely. Meshed exists to solve this. Core Platform: Meshed creates a living, AI-powered graph of a VC ecosystem, connecting: Portfolio companies, Founders and employees, Investors, LPs, and advisors & Strategic partners. Users gain access to a verified network layer, where identity, relationships, and interactions are authenticated and continuously updated quickly giving key stake holders or founders an AI powered matrix and synopsis of who they should be reaching out to and why; benefiting the overall VC investment ecosystem. Using this network, Meshed provides:
Trust Layer (World + Flare) A core innovation of Meshed is the introduction of a verifiable trust layer: World is used to verify that users are real, unique humans (preventing fake profiles and spam) Flare Network is used to create attestations about off-chain activity (e.g. communication, achievements, interactions, employee reviews, high value connections) This allows Meshed to move beyond traditional networking platforms by ensuring that: -identities are real -interactions are provable -and reputations are portable and tamper-resistant Use Case 1: Verified Connections (LinkedIn Trust Layer) Professional communication & connections today, particularly through platforms like LinkedIn, suffers from low trust, high noise, low response rate or fake data all together. Meshed introduces a system where: -a verified Meshed user initiates a message or connections -that intent is cryptographically recorded and attested using Flare -and the recipient can verify that the message or connection originated from a real, trusted connection within their Meshed network This creates a verified outreach layer, enabling: -spam-resistant communication -trusted introductions -and prioritisation of meaningful connections Use Case 2: Meshed UpCycle (Talent Retention & Redeployment) Meshed UpCycle is a core product built from direct founder experience. When startups fail or run out of funding, highly skilled teams — already vetted by investors — are often left unsupported. This represents a significant loss of both human capital and investor value. Meshed UpCycle solves this by: -identifying available talent within the network -surfacing them to other portfolio companies -and enabling rapid redeployment into new opportunities This transforms failure from a dead-end into a redistribution mechanism within the ecosystem. Data & Attestation Layer (Flare Integration)
Post hackathon, Meshed aims to leverage Flare to process and attest to off-chain data sources, including:
-email systems -Slack -Salesforce -Carta and other operational tools
This data is used to: -understand collaboration patterns -identify contributions and achievements -and build a more accurate picture of individual and team performance These insights feed into both: -AI-driven recommendations -and verifiable reputation systems Verified Work History & Digital Awards
Post hackathon Meshed will introduce a system of verifiable professional credentials, where: -achievements, reviews, and contributions are recorded -attested to their original source (e.g. manager, company) -and linked back to the originating VC network
These are represented as immutable digital records, ensuring no more lying on LinkedIn -authenticity -provenance and portability across future roles
This allows individuals to carry a trusted, verifiable work history across companies, rather than relying solely on self-reported profiles. Our Meshed AI Summary quickly informs Investors or Founders of pertinent connections that will aid the overall VC ecosystem.
Meshed is built as a hybrid Web2/Web3 system combining real-time data pipelines, AI-driven network analysis, and blockchain-based trust infrastructure. The architecture is designed to bridge off-chain professional activity (e.g. LinkedIn, Slack, CRM systems) with on-chain identity and attestation layers. We used World ID for Verified human + verified operator network graph to create a sybil-resistant, trust-weighted network graph of founders and investors, ensuring all connections and recommendations are between verified humans. Used IDKit >User verifies via World App > Meshed gets a proof, Meshed stores: hashed user ID, verification level (orb/device). Meaning: Meshed VC networks are comprised now of 1) Verified founders - Only real humans can join network, Meshed Verified employees of startups within a Meshed Network. This solves for current day issues like 'lying on LinkedIn as well as parsing through cluttered, non essential LinkedIn messages. Meshed + World ID prevents fake profiles and Verifies VC stake holders or - real decision-makers are a part of a Meshed network therefore creating a 'Trust Layer' over the Meshed platform. Post hackathon we will continue to add more data that increases "Verified Graph Score” with connections weighted by: World ID verified users, shared interactions, and/or successful collaborations. This means Only World-verified founders can request introductions within a specific Meshed network OR AI recommends connections, but only between verified humans within a specific Meshed Network. Attestation Layer — Flare - We used Flare as a decentralised attestation layer to transform unstructured, off-chain professional activity into verifiable, on-chain signals — enabling trusted communication, portable reputation, and a provably reliable network graph. Flare is used as a trust oracle for off-chain activity. We use it to create verifiable attestations for: communication intent (e.g. LinkedIn outreach) and work history and achievements for Meshed UpCycled workforce. interactions across tools (Slack, email, CRM systems) To meet hackathon deadline, the network is quite a simple graph generated on cosine similarity: Cosine Similarity in Networks in network science, cosine similarity can be used to measure the similarity between vertices based on their common neighbours. If two vertices and share many common neighbours, they have a higher cosine similarity. This can be used in:
