Web3 platform where cities, NGOs, and businesses collaborate to fund & deliver verified impact.
PROBLEM Cities lack the budget for civic and community engagement activities (e.g., nature protection, educational programs, park cleanups). Meanwhile, local businesses have marketing and CSR budgets but lack trust that their donations are used as intended. NGOs have the operational expertise and volunteer networks but face unpredictable income, limiting their ability to fund sufficient community campaigns. These three groups want to coordinate but lack a reliable way to do so.
SOLUTION WECANNES is World ID powered platform for connecting cities, private donors, and NGOs, where
WORKFLOW & USED TECHNOLOGIES WECANNES is a World Mini App that connects cities, NGOs, businesses, and volunteers around verifiable civic campaigns. First, a city publishes a local priority goal, such as strengthening local food supply chains. An NGO then creates a campaign under that goal, setting the title, funding target, date, location, and volunteer requirements. A business sponsors the campaign by depositing EURC into an escrow smart contract on World Chain. Volunteers discover the campaign in the app, sign up, and verify with World ID. On the event day, they check in on site by scanning an NGO QR code and completing World ID verification, proving both uniqueness and physical attendance. After the campaign, the NGO submits completion evidence such as photos. The sponsor reviews the evidence and, if approved, the escrow contract releases funds directly to the NGO. Volunteers can then claim non-monetary civic rewards in the app.
Used Technology WECANNES is built as a World Mini App using MiniKit for the mobile app experience and World ID for sybil-resistant proof of personhood. Smart contracts are deployed on World Chain and manage campaign creation, sponsorship escrow, check-in validation, review state, and automatic release or refund of funds. Sponsorship payments use EURC as the stablecoin for campaign funding. Volunteer check-ins combine QR-based location presence with World ID verification to confirm real human participation. The app stores campaign metadata, evidence uploads, and user role flows in the frontend/backend layer, while critical funding and participation states are recorded on-chain.
